Roland Heavy Duty bicycle trailer for heavy loads

Until now it was not possible to transport heavy loads by bicycle. Roland brought a solution here by making a bicycle trailer that can carry up to 300 kg of weight. The Roland Heavy Duty bicycle trailer can be mounted on any bicycle and weighs just 40 kg.

•             Own weight: 40 kg
•             Permitted load while driving: 150 kg
•             Permitted total weight for handcart operation: 300 kg
•             Free load space: 1,630 mm x 620 mm (suitable for 4 euro containers *, stackable, load volume up to 1.5 m3)
•             Overall dimensions: L 2,612 mm x W 954 mm x H 694 or H 902 (raised drawbar)
•             Optional advertising space / double sided
•             * With the basic dimensions of 400 x 300 mm and 600 x 400 mm, euro containers are tailored to the dimensions of euro pallets

Basic frame / loading space:

•             30 mm steel pipe
•             Double EPS coating (electrostatic powder coating), extremely protected against scratches, shocks and corrosion
•             Crash protection on the bow and rear wheels
•             Loading area: corrugated sheets of aluminum; Load securing system with 2 x 8 belt eyes
•             Barrier supports: to prevent the load from falling out and to prevent tipping during loading

Brakes:

•             Internal development of a safety brake (easy to maintain, weather resistant)
•             ... in combination with Shimano M 375 mechanical disc brakes
•             ... With 160 mm brake discs / 6-hole mounting

Tires:

•             20 "double-walled edge 25-406 in black
•             Aluminum front wheel hub black with reinforced axle and reinforced spokes
•             20 "Big Apple with reflective strips in ETRTO 55-406
•             Puncture protection insoles, load per 100 kg, low rolling resistance

Lighting (according to StVZO):

•             2 x white reflectors (front)
•             1 x red reflector (rear right)
•             2 x reflectors yellow (side, front)
•             1 x white lamp, battery or rechargeable battery (front left)
•             1 x red light with reflector, battery or rechargeable battery (rear left)
•             3 x reflective strips on tires
